Special Announcement

We would like to again extend our thanks to everyone involved in the 3rd annual Memorial for Suicide Awareness in memory of Lyman F. Sheats, Jr., also known as the PAPA 23 World Pinball Championships, which were recently held at the Pinball Capital in Stone Park, Illinois. We appreciate every player, every donation, every volunteer, every raffle ticket sold, every sponsor, every tournament director, and every memory shared of our dear friend Lyman.

However, please know that there are no plans to hold a PAPA 24 event. Although very successful, we feel it is time to step back and consider something different in the future, if at all. All proceeds have been donated to the designated charities.

Suicide prevention is one of the most urgent mental health issues of our time. We urge everyone to reach out to friends, to not assume everyone is "doing fine", and to support the organizations that do the vital work on this topic.

Finally, we hope that when you step up to the game, you occasionally take a moment to remember Lyman, who despite being an intransigent grump (which was part of his charm), loved pinball and its community, and worked to improve both.
