Significant changes from PAPA 21 in 2024 are listed here:
- The number of players will be capped at 300
- B Division in the Main Tournament has been expanded to 16 players
- Volunteer entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE if you are playing in the tournament. Exceptions may be made for volunteers who are not playing in the tournament.
- Qualifying will end at 8pm every day
- Tiebreakers for qualifying will occur immediately after the end of the final qualifying session for each division
- Any bonus main entries for PAPA 22 earned either via early sign up or via volunteer hours will also include an equivalent amount of women's tournament entries as well if the player is playing in the women's tournament
- Anyone registering for PAPA 22 after noon CST on April 12th will not receive a free raffle ticket for the NIB Stern and CGC games. Raffle tickets can still be purchased at any time before the drawing for $150 each. Any additional raffle tickets purchased this way will have 100% of proceeds go towards the charity total.
- The Classics tournament will be located on the opposite side of the bowling alley, away from Main and Women's, in order to reduce crowding
- No perk will be offered for the #1 main seed
- We will be raffling off two brand new pinball machines through Project Pinball.
- High seed will choose game (other than ones selected that round) or order for any playoff tiebreakers
Please note that this is a charity event aiming to raise money for suicide awareness, and 20% of all proceeds will be going towards that purpose. Also please be aware that this event is being operated by the IFPA with assistance from others, rather than by Replay Foundation or the Pro-Am Pinball Association (the trademark and related material are under license from Replay Foundation).
As always, we intend to provide a world-class pinball tournament experience, and in so doing, to both honor Lyman and to raise money for a good cause.
